GRANTS & BURSARIES
All income from Suburani is used to support Classical subjects in schools. Each year we fund over £500,000 of Classics education developments, grants and bursaries.
BURSARIES FOR SUMMER CONFERENCE
Bursaries are available to meet the cost of our UK summer conference at the Museum of London (which itself very kindly provides its facilities to us free of charge). If you would like to apply for a bursary, please send us an email, with your name, the name and address of your school, and your role within the school. Please also briefly outline why your school is not in a position to pay the cost of the conference.
GRANTS FOR SUBURANI DIGITAL ACCOUNTS
All UK state schools, and all UK independent schools with fees of less than £10,000 per annum, are eligible for grants for part or all of the cost of Suburani digital accounts. We ask that the school/department pays what it can, and we will fund the rest. Download an application form below.
FREE OR REDUCED RATE GCSE VOCABULARY TRAINER ACCESS
All UK state schools, and all UK independent schools with fees of less than £10,000 per annum, are eligible for access to the tracked version of our vocabulary trainer free from January to the end of May 2025. For all other schools it is available for just £1 per user (rather than the usual £2.50).
The tracked version shows teachers how each student is getting on, what their overall percentage competence is, when they last logged in, how many questions they've answered, how much progress they've made between any two dates, and so on. Similarly, students can see exactly how much progress they're making. It's a very powerful way for students and teachers to quantify and improve GCSE vocabulary acquisition.
If your school qualifies for free access, please complete and return a grant form below.
Alternatively, order the reduced-rate accounts here:
Our open access GCSE vocab trainer (without performance tracking) remains freely available here for Eduqas and here for OCR.
